Senior Night has a way of sneaking up on you. One minute it feels like just another game, and the next you realize you are standing in one of the last big moments of your child’s season.
The Senior Nights I have experienced have all looked a little different, and each one came with emotions and details I did not fully expect. I am so glad I prepared in some ways, because those little efforts made the night that much more special for my son and for our family.
That is exactly why I created this Senior Night checklist, to help you feel a little more prepared so you can be more present for the moment.

If you have a few more minutes, here are a few simple things to prep, pack, and remember before the night begins.
What to Prep Before Senior Night 🎓
A little planning ahead can make Senior Night feel much smoother.
Submit the announcer bio, order the senior banner or Fathead, and coordinate flowers, leis, or gifts ahead of time. Gather throwback photos if your team is using them, and make a simple plan for after the game so the night feels special without adding stress.
What to Pack for Senior Night 👜
A few simple things can make a big difference.
Bring cash, a phone with cleared storage, a portable charger, a Sharpie, water, and a snack. If the weather may be cold or unpredictable, bring a warm oversized blanket too. A small touch up kit is always helpful for photos, and tissues are a must.
What to Remember During Senior Night 💛
This is the part that matters most.
Arrive early, check the weather, and ask questions ahead of time if you are unsure how things will work. Once the night begins, try to slow down and soak it in.
Senior Night does not have to be perfect to be meaningful. The photos might not go exactly as planned, and the schedule may run behind, but what your family will remember most is being there together.
Bonus Tips for a Less Stressful Senior Night ✨
A little extra preparation goes a long way.
Pack tissues, hire someone to take photos if you can, and plan something simple after the game. It does not have to be elaborate. Even a small celebration can help mark the moment in a meaningful way.
