The Ultimate Sideline Survival Checklist

The Ultimate Sideline Survival Checklist

So much of sports mom life is lived on the sidelines. It is where we cheer, wait, bundle up, unpack snacks, reapply sunscreen, and make memories we do not always realize we will treasure later.

I created this Ultimate Sideline Checklist to help make those long days a little easier, more comfortable, and a lot more EXTRA’ordinary.

👕 Show Up Loud & Proud

Showing up is the first step—representing is the next. If you’re ready to stand out on the sideline, these are our two most-loved designs:

🍴 Fuel & Hydration

  • The Best Overnight Oats: My absolute go-to for those 6 AM tournament mornings. Prep them the night before for a stress-free start.
  • High-Protein Snacks: Beef jerky, almonds, or protein bars. Avoid anything that melts in a hot car!
  • Electrolyte Powder Packets: Plain water isn't enough for 8 hours in the heat.

☀️ The "Beat the Heat" Kit

❄️ The "Freeze-Proof" Essentials

  • The Ultimate Stadium Sak: A wearable sleeping bag with sleeves. Total game-changer for freezing bleachers.
  • Heated Rocking Sideline Chair: It rocks and it’s heated. It’s like bringing your living room to the field.
  • Heavy-Duty Blanket: Even in summer, early morning grass is damp. Keep an oversized, waterproof-backed blanket in the trunk year-round.

📦 Logistics & Tech

  • Heavy Duty Sports Wagon: Stop making three trips to the car. This carries the chairs, the cooler, and the kids' extra gear in one go.
  • Portable Power Bank: Your phone will die by game two. Bring a high-capacity backup and the charging cord.
  • Hard-Copy Roster: Phones glitch and service drops at rural fields. Keep a printed copy of game times and player numbers.

🎒 The "Sideline Hero" Bag (Emergency Essentials)

  • Personal First Aid Kit: Keep it stocked with Band-aids, ibuprofen, antiseptic wipes, and tweezers.
  • Stain Remover Pen: For the inevitable grass stain vs. white jersey showdown.
  • Athletic Tape & Pre-Wrap: You’ll be the team hero when a shin guard slips or a hair tie snaps.
  • Sunscreen & Bug Spray: It’s always sunnier (or buggier) than the forecast says.
